  • 5/15/2025  Today is National Bring Flowers to Someone Day

     

    The unified basketball team lost a tough battle to Fulton last night due to some hot three point shooting by the red dragons.

    Isaiah Pitcher kept the Tigers in the game late with a couple of steals. Seamus Obleman also recorded a season high 4 assist.

    The Tigers are back in action Friday at home versus Phoenix at 4 o’clock.

     

    A reminder to all jazz ensemble students - please report to the band room at 8:40 this morning to set up for our performance.

Volunteers will help remove trash and pollution around the town and will earn community service hours for participating. Gloves and equipment will be provided. If you’re interested, sign up on the sheet outside Mr. Deckman’s room (Room 103).

You must be 16 years of age and have your permit/license to sign up. Cost is $130. The deadline to sign up is May 29th or until seats are full.     5/14/2025  Today is National Dance Like a Chicken Day

     

    Congratulations to the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Med of the Choir, Select Choir, Treble Choir and Mixed Choir for a fabulous performance last night! All your hard work paid off!  We are very proud of you! Mrs. Upcraft and Washburn

     

    Math tutoring today is 3-5 pm with Mr. Haskins in room 215.

    5/13/2025 Today is National Apple Pie Day

     

    Congratulations to the unified basketball team for picking up the 36-32 win last night against Oswego.

    Trey Eastman got the Tigers out to the Early lead with his hot shooting. The twin towers of Big Jack Bingham and Parker Steven’s dominated the boards.  Defense was led by Payton King and Kailyn Eip. Isaiah Pitcher and Molly Mae Mannise chipped in with 2 big baskets down the stretch to seal the win!!  The tigers play Wednesday @ 4 o’clock here at the high school. Come out and support the team!!

     

    The Varsity Boys’ Track Team lost their home meet last night to Marcellus 65 to 77. The boys put up a hard fight but were not victorious in the end. Congratulations to Collin Fitzgerald for being the meet MVP last night for Mexico. He scored in the 3200 and the 1600. Collin also helped his team by running the 4x800 relay. Anthony Lozada and Mason Wilcox took first and second in the 200 meter. Logan Fitzgerald took a second place in the 400 meter hurdles. Allen Trumble took 2nd in the long jump. Jesse Marthia took 3rd in the triple jump. Dylan Steele took 3rd in the Shot Put. KK Johnson took first in the 400 meter. The boys travel to their League meet on Monday. Go Tigers.

    Good luck to the unified basketball team! They open the season tonight at Oswego and have home games this Wednesday versus Fulton and Friday versus Phoenix. Home games start at 4pm, come out and support the team. Go Tigers!

    Interested in becoming a certified Lifeguard? Today is the final day to register with Mrs. Bolton . May 10-12 there will be a class held here @ a discount price for MACS students. You must be 15, pass the in-water requirements & complete online portion before class.

    French Club is meeting today afterschool.

     

    CiTi BOCES has a Staff Development Day today.  Students who did not turn in a permission letter to dismiss them during their CiTi BOCES class-time, need to report to cafeteria study hall today, with the exception of 3rd period, students need to report to the auditorium.

    Congratulations to the symphonic band for their performance yesterday at the New York State Music Association evaluations. They received a gold rating for their performance. We are all very proud of you!

    The English Department Invites you to William Shakespeare’s birthday party today (4/25) in the Hungerford Library immediately following the pep rally at 2:15.  Please have a quote from any of Shakespeare’s plays or sonnets ready to share in exchange for a piece of cake! Everyone is welcome!

     

    Tonight the students of Mexico High School will be bringing their talents to the auditorium stage.  Please come out and support those performing.  The show starts at 7:30pm.  Tickets are $10 at the door, or see a Spanish or German club member this week for a $5 presale ticket.  Hope to see you there!

    Attention student drivers, all parking permits have been issued, there are no spots remaining. If you're registered & haven't gotten your sticker, please stop by the Assistant Principals office.  Student parking spots are located at the end of the stadium by the tennis courts and along Liberty Street.  Students should not be parking in faculty parking or in any handicap spaces along the stadium. Failure to follow parking regulations will result in loss of parking privileges.

    4/24/2025 Today is National Scream Day

     

    Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Track Team on their meet last night in Homer. The Boys lost to Cortland but won against Homer. Top performers for the Tigers were Logan and Collin Fitzgerald in the 1600 and the 3200, along with Aiden Bartlett sealing a first, second, and third place in each event. Korbyn Adams pole vaulted a personal best 8 foot 6 inches for second place. Anthony Lozada ran a personal best of 11.8 in the 100 meter, and Kaedrian Johnson supported his team by scoring in three out of the four events that he ran. The boys travel to Oswego tomorrow for an Invitational. Go Tigers!

     

    THIS FRIDAY is our annual battle of the classes indoor pep rally! Students come sign-up for games outside room 202!  Remember, the winning class gets a pizza party!

     

    Stop by the FOR club table in the foyer mornings this week to sign the daily kindness pledges. Each pledge signed is an entry into raffle for a Dunkin card, AND the class with the most pledges at the end of this week gets a pizza party!

    4/23/2025  Today is National Picnic Day

     

    Your Mexico Girls Varsity Lacrosse team beat Cortland last night with a score of 10-9 in Quadruple overtime win. Collectively our goalies played amazing with a total of 14 Saves, with Freshman AVA Wharcol winning the MVP of the game with 10 saves and a huge Free Position save in the third overtime.  Rachel Gagnier dominated the draw circle 7 draw controls.  Hailey Workman led the way with 4 goals and three assists, Brooke Sutton and Anna Shaffer had two Goals.  Haylee Hayes had 1 goal and two assists and Gagnier added a goal.  The defense was led by Aubrey Shaffer, Cheyeene Cook, Brooklyn LaFluer and Daytona Baldwin   Great Win Girls.

     

    For students attending the SUNY Oswego QUEST field trip with Ms. Rudich and Mr. Fellows, report to 2nd period for attendance and then be at the cafeteria by 8:56. The bus leaves at 9:00 sharp and there will be no other announcements for this trip.

    Our Battle of the Books team Riley Gagnier, Josie Metcalf and Jenna Ricker brought home the 2025 Oswego County Battle of the Books Championship last night at J.C. Birdlebough High School in Phoenix, NY with a score of 96 points.  The next highest score was 88 points.

    The Battle of the Books competition requires each participant to read a list of 8 titles. Teams must answer detailed and specific questions with the correct title and author in writing and out loud. This is the first time that our school has won this championship in 15 years. A plaque commemorating this victory will be hung in the Pierce Library. Please congratulate Riley, Josie and Jenna if you see them today. R

    We are also kicking off  National Library Week. What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities. We have more than books in our library. Our library offers free access to many online resources including SORA, a wide variety of databases and streaming services like SWANK.     3/17/2025 Today is National Corned Beef & Cabbage Day

     

    The junior boys defeated the senior boys in a five-set thriller on Friday night. Both teams played great volleyball. In fact, it was the best boy's volleyball match we've had here at MACS. The junior boys then went on to defeat the faculty in a close 3 set match. The volleyball program thanks everyone who played and volunteered their time. We hope you had a lot of fun at this event!

    3/11/2025  Today is National Johnny Appleseed Day

     

    Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Grease on their spectacular performances last weekend.  Thank you to all the students that helped us out in the front of the house and a HUGE Thank you to the cast.  Your hard work showed in each performance and Monnat and Washburn are extremely proud of you all!  Remember we have strike today at 3pm.

     

    A huge shoutout to our Mexico Winter weightlifting Team for their incredible performance at the Baldwinsville Powerlifting Competition this past Friday!  Parker Jock, Karter Laparr, Jared Becker, Ian Torres, Joe Shendock all smashed their personal records in both bench press and deadlift, showing their hard work and dedication. The team brought home the 3rd Place Team Award, and a special congratulations to Ian, who earned 1st place in the 9th-grade division!  Great job, team! Keep up the hard work!

    Congratulations to the robotics team TORQ for their performance yesterday at the vex state championships. Throughout the day they won the Judges Award for demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship, perseverance, professionalism and communication. Way to go TORQ!

    2/13/2025 Today is National World Radio Day

     

    The Swimming and Diving team had a great performance at section 3 championships this past week.  Top finishers for tigers include Stefano Magro in the Individual Medley and 100-yard Fly, Jacob Upcraft and Brady Babbitt in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events, and Ethan in the diving competition.   All 3 relay teams made podium finishes and include Stefano Magro, Jacob Upcraft, Brady Babbitt, John Rice, Kevin Perlet, Kaleb DeMarree, & Jesse Marthia.  Wish our top finishers luck as they head back on Friday for State Qualifiers!  Go Tigers!

    Congratulations to the Mexico Robotics team TORQ for their great showing at Chittenango on Friday night. They held first place all night until the last match before ending the night in 4th place. A big shout out to Jess Hill's coding routine.

    1/31/2025  Today is National Inspire Your Heart with Art Day

     

    Last night the boys' swimming and diving team finished their regular season with a thumping of  the Carthage Comets 92-63!  Highlights for the tigers include many 1st place finishes for Jacob Upcraft, Aiden Bartlett, Kaleb DeMarree, John Rice, Ethan Gilbert and Stefano Magro.  Also, many sectional qualifying times were achieved including Stanley Schoonmaker in the backstroke and Brady Babbitt in the butterfly and breaststroke. The Tigers are off now until sectional championships on February 12th.

     

    Are you taking a Distance Learning course with Mrs. Bittner? If you are and would like to attend CCC’s Spring Open House on February 14th, stop to see Mrs. Bittner ASAP for more information.

    1/8/2025   Today is National English Toffee Day

     

    Last Night the Boy's Varsity Swimming and Diving Team defeated the Watertown Cyclones 105-75.  Leading the way for the Tigers with first place finishes were Brady Babbitt, Jacob Upcraft, Stefano Magro, and Ethan Gilbert.  The tigers also swept all three relay events which also included Kevin Perlet, John Rice, Kaleb Demaree and Aiden Bartlett!  The tigers are in action again on Thursday as they travel to Lowville on Thursday for a shot at first place in the division.

    Last night the boys varsity boys swimming and diving team improved to 3-0 with a convincing win over Indian River 102-62! Leading the way for the tigers with 1st place finishes were Jacob Upcraft, Stefano Magro, John Rice, Ethan Gilbert and Kaleb DeMaree!  Come out on Thursday at 5:00pm and be loud as the tigers take on the South Jefferson Spartans for top spot in the frontier league!

    12/16/2024   Today is National Chocolate Covered Anything Day

     

    Last Thursday night the boys varsity swimming and diving team improved to 2-0 with a win over Weedsport 94-77. Leading the way for the tigers were Jacob Upcraft. John Rice and Ethan Gilbert with 1st place finishes.  Come out next Thursday and cheer on the team as they take on division rival South Jefferson. 

     

    Any band or Chorus member that sold citrus fruit needs to pick it up today from 2:30-6 pm in HS Cafeteria area.

    10/31/2024  Today is national Caramel Apple Day

     

    Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Cross Country Team on taking first place at their combined OHSL Liberty League Meet. The boys beat the second place team by over 40 points. This year’s first team All League athletes are Logan Fitzgerald and Colling Fitzgerald. This year’s Second Team All League athletes are Kaedrian Johnson, and Aiden Bartlett. Congratulations on an amazing season.

    Special congratulations to Aubrey Herrington on finishing 3rd for the girls and securing a first team all league standing.

    The team competes at the Sectional Meet in West Winfield on Saturday, November 9th. Go Tigers!

    Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving Team for a great performance at the league meet. Emma Terzulli achieved personal bests in the 100 Free & 100 Breaststroke, Emma Wisniewski put up a personal best in the 100 Butterfly clinching a new sectional cut. Chelsea Hitzschke secured a second-place finish in diving. With the highlight of the meet being brought on by Alle Magro with personal best and dominating first place finishes in both the 100 Butterfly and the 500 Freestyle. Great job ladies, next stop is sectionals.

    10/24/2024 Today is United Nations Day

     

    Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Varsity Cross Country Team on becoming official League Champions last night in Cazenovia. The Boys defeated Homer in their final contest to seal the deal. Special congratulations to Logan Fitzgerald, Collin Fitzgerald, Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlett, Simeon O’Neil, Brayson Beasley, Jack Deckman, Aiden Silverio, Sam Gillespy, Noah Gagnier, Chris Wood, and Atreyu DeFalco on an amazing season! The boys travel to West Winfield for Sectionals on November 9th. Go Tigers!

    10/23/2024 Today is Snow Leopard Day

     

    The Lady Tigers Swimming and Diving finished out the regular season last night with personal best in the 200 Free for Emma Terzulli and Ema Wisniewski had personal bests in both the 200 free and 100 fly, Chelsea Hitzschke had another personal best in Diving. Alle Magro showed some impressive performances by winning the 200 IM and the 100 Free as well as reeling in a 5 second deficit in the 400 free relay for a come from behind win to close out the meet. Next stop is the League meet Saturday in Watertown, Good Luck Ladies!

     

    Congratulations to Journey Girard, Josie Metcalf, Dominic Seymour, Kassondra Nuzzo, Isabella Ladd, Mikayla Towner, Kieran Henderson, Anna Fox, Nataleigh Smith, and Kaylee Messick who participated in Mexico Idol last night.

    We had a 3 way tie for 3rd place with Isabella Ladd, Kieran Henderson and Anna Fox as winners.

    Kaylee Messick won 2nd place and our 2024 Mexico Idol is Nataleigh Smith!

    Red Ribbon Week is off to a great start.  Thank you to everyone who took the pledge to not bully yesterday. Multiple people guessed the trivia question accurately.  1 in every 5 students report being bullied.  Winners of the Tiger Terrace Coupons will be announced Monday!  Today we are raising awareness for suicide.  Our pledge is “I will reach out if I or someone I know needs help.” Stop by and sign a ribbon during lunch.  The trivia question of the day is: What percent of high school students attempted suicide in the past year? Please remember, you are never alone.

    10/21/2024  Today is national Reptile Awareness Day

     

    Congratulations to the boys Cross Country team on taking first place out of 25 teams at the Marcellus Invitational this past Saturday. Scoring first place for the Tigers was Logan Fitzgerald, second place was Collin Fitzgerald, third place was Kaedrian Johnson, fourth place was Aiden Bartlett, and fifth place was Braydon Beasley. Congratulations to Jack Deckman, Aiden Silverio, Simeon O'Neil, Sam Gillespy, and Atreyu DeFalco for all achieving personal bests! Also, Aubrey Herrington placed second overall for the girls, with Maddy Greenway, Lilah Donath, and Ileana Mannino scoring personal bests! Go Tigers!!

     

    This past Saturday the girls Varsity Soccer team traveled up to South Jefferson to take on the Spartans. The Girls came away with the Victory 3-2, scoring was Allie Poissant with 2 goals and Lola Tiefke with a goal. The girls are the 3rd seed in the Class A sectional seeding and will play this Friday at home at 5:30pm against the winner of Homer vs Onieda.  Congratulations girls on a great season.

    10/15/2024  Today is national Handwashing Day

     

    Congratulations to Mexico High School's first OCAY League team for the 2024–25 season! They took first place in the first OCAY event of this year. Mrs. Bigelow wishes to recognize them for a spectacular team performance over all 8 other school districts in Oswego County.  Team members for this event were: Olivia DeStevens, Rachel Gagnier, Jessica Hill, Luke Lemke, Stefano Magro, Sarah Marsden, Colin McWilliams, Angelina Nguyen-Truong, Sam Warchol, and Hailey Workman.  Congratulations to the team on a job well done!

     

    Congratulations to the girls JV volleyball team for winning against Cato Friday night. Leading the team was, Molly Dempsey in assists, Kaiyden Henderson in serves, and Edie Chamberlain in spikes. They also won Saturday against APW. Leading the team was, Annalise Hogan in assists, Revvie Baldwin in serves, and Anna Shafer in spikes.     Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Cross Country Team on their victory over Westhill last night. The Tiger Boys managed to squeak out a narrow win by one point. Scoring first for the Tigers was Logan Fitzgerald. He was followed by Colling Fitzgerald, Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlett, and Jack Deckman. Congratulations to Aubrey Herrington for finishing first in the girls’ race, and Maddy Greenway for finishing 5th. The Tigers travel to Chittenango tomorrow evening for an Invitational. Go Tigers!

     

    Congratulations to the girls JV and Varsity volleyball teams for winning against Cortland last night. For JV leading the team was; Rhian Dorgan in serves, Annalise Hogan in assists, and Edie Chamberlain in kills. Leading the team for varsity was Aubrey shafer with 17 assists,Adriana Dimanto with 15 digs, Brunn Mack with 11 service points, and Delaney Mack with 12 kills!     10/4/2024  Today is national Improve Your Office Day

     

    Last night Allie Poissant scored 6 minutes into the match with an assist from Giana Cutuli, the girls played awesome defense for 55 minutes before Skaneateles scored to tie the match . With 2 minutes left in regulation Giana sent Allie a through ball on a break away for Allie to score her 21st goal of the season. The Girls packed it in for the final 2 minutes walking away with the win.  The girls travel to Central Square tonight for a back-to-back match vs the Red Hawks.  1st touch is at 7pm 

     

    Kingdom Club is meeting today at 2:15 in room 107 for a getting-to-know-you event! Everyone is welcome.

    10/3/2024  Today is national Techies Day

     

    The Mexico Tigers Cross Country team battled to beat CBA last night in Marcellus. Top 5 finishers in order for the boys were Logan Fitzgerald, Collin Fitzgerald, Aiden Bartlett, Kaedrian Johnson, and Simeon O’Neil. Congratulations to Aubrey Herrington for finishing first place for the girls. She was followed by Maddy Greenway, Ileana Mannino, Olivia Burlingame, and Emaleigh Halbert. The Tigers travel to Tully this Saturday for their Invitational. Great job Tigers!!

     

    Congrats to the boys golf team on shooting a season low last night against Chittenango with a score of 213. Impressive scoring for all members especially Evan Hansen, Jesse marthia, JP hogan and Tanner Rhinehart as they all shot season lows. The tigers take on Phoenix tomorrow for their last match of the year. Go tigers!

    10/1/2024 Today is national Coffee Day

     

    Over the weekend, Boys Varsity Soccer finished level with VVS at one goal each in double overtime. The Tigers battled from behind to earn the draw. The boys face Solvay tonight at 5:30, come support!

     

    The boys 7/8/9 modified soccer team visited Chittenango on Friday, securing a 3-2 victory in overtime. Karson Bickford led the backline with Jacob Upcraft extended his goal scoring run, netting 1 of the Tiger’s three goals. Keep up the hard work, Tigers!

     

    Last night the Girls Varsity Soccer team defeated a tough Westhill Warriors' team for the 1st time in program History. Scoring for the tigers was Giana Cutuli 7 minutes into the match, and a tough Mexico Defense held the warriors scoreless for 73 minutes. Ava Warchol had 8 saves in the win.

    The girls travel to Skaneateles on Thursday night to take on the Lakers.

    9/30/2024  Today is national Podcast Day

     

    Congratulations to the JV volleyball team for coming in 2nd place at their tournament over the weekend! The girls played as a team and all did a great job. Come out tomorrow night to support the volleyball teams fundraiser for breast cancer starting at 4:30 against Westhill. We will have raffles and 50/50's. Wear pink!  

     

    The Tigers Cross Country team went to Utica this past Saturday to compete in the EJ Hermann Invitational. Congratulations to Logan Fitzgerald for finishing 8th and Colling Fitzgerald for finishing 9th out of 135 runners. Special congratulations to Aubrey Herrington for finishing 6th out of 90 runners in her race. The top ten finishers in each race received a custom plaque and a T-shirt. Great job Tigers. The Cross-Country team faces CBA this Wednesday in Marcellus.

    Last night the boys varsity soccer team beat Homer 4 to 1. The Tigers had 2 goals from Leo Leikfeld and one from both Brady Cowley and Noah Caroccio. Assisting two of the goals was Tyler Huyhn and assisting another was Leo Leikfeld. The Tigers look to keep the momentum up Saturday as they host VVS on the turf at 11am- come support!

    Evan Hansen, Jesse Marthia and JP Hogan were locked in last night as the boys golf team beat  Homer last night 227 to 237 in a league match at Emerald Crest.

     

    Congratulations to the Tigers Cross Country team on their victory over Cortland last night. Both the girls’ team and boys’ team secured a victory. The top 5 finishers for the boys were Logan Fitzgerald, Collin Fitzgerald, Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlett, and Braydon Beasley. The boys were supported by Simeon O’Neil and Jack Deckman secured the 6th and 7th place for the Tigers. Aubrey Herrington led the girls with a first-place finish. Madison Greenway, Lilah Donath, and Olivia Burlingame helped seal the deal. The Tigers travel to Utica this Saturday for the EJ Hermann Invitational. Go Tigers!

    Homecoming results:

    Thank you to all the students, advisors, teachers, and parents who worked hard on the class floats!  Everyone did an amazing job and all the floats were outstanding this year!  The rubrics have been counted and here are the results.

    In 4th place with 97 points are the seniors!

    In 3rd place with 104 points are the sophomores!

    In 2nd place with 110 points are the freshmen!

    And in 1st place with 118 points are the juniors!

     

    The points from the floats and dress up days have been calculated.  The winning class will get a pizza party thrown by student council!  Here are the results!

    Congratulations to the Mexico Tigers Boys Cross Country Team on a 3rd place finish out of 38 teams at The B’ville Invitational this past Saturday. Finishing first for the Tigers was Logan Fitzgerald at 16:58, second was Collin Fitzgerald at 17:28, third was Aiden Bartlett at 18:17, fourth was Braydon Beasley at 19:17, and fifth was Simeon O’Neil with a 19:42. Jack Deckman finished sixth for the Tigers with a PR of 20:24. Special congratulations to the Tiger girls too. Aubrey Herrington finished 9th out of 224 girls with s 20:24, and Maddy Greenway finished 123rd with a 26:37. Great Job Tigers!!

     

    Last Thursday, the boys varsity soccer team beat Jordan-Elbridge 3 to 1. The Tigers had a goal from Brady Cowley and two goals from Leo Leikfeld. The Tigers travel to S-A-S on Tuesday and hosts Homer on Thursday. Be sure to come out and support on Thursday

    9/19/2024  Today is national Butterscotch Pudding Day

     

    Last night the Girls Varsity Soccer team defeated a tough Chittenango team 4-3 in double over time. The Tigers battled back from a 3-0 deficit after the 1st half of play. 

    Allie Poissant scored 3 break away goals in the 2nd half and in the 2 overtime with just 23 seconds run off the clock scored her 4th and sealing the victory.

    The girls travel to Central Square to take on the Red Hawks Saturday at 1pm.

     

    Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team on their victory over Chittenango. The boys barely squeaked out a win 23 to 30. Top 5 finishers were Logan Fitzgerald, Colling Fitzgerald, Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlett, and Braydon Beasley. Jack Deckman, Simeon O’Neil, and Aiden Silverio also had personal bests. Aubrey Herrington led for the girls in a close loss. Go Tigers.

    Last night the boys varsity soccer team defeated Red Creek 3 to 2. Scoring a hat trick for the Tigers was Leo Leikfeld. With an assist each were Ian Bigelow and Toby Caroccio. In net defending the lead was Noah Caroccio. The Tigers will face Jordan Elbridge on Thursday at the High School Turf Stadium, the game starts at 5:30pm- come support!

     

    Last night the Girls Soccer Team traveled to Cortland to take on the Purple Tigers and came away with a win 7-1.  Scoring for the Tigers were Allie Poissant with 4 goals Giana Cutuli with 2 goal and Emily Hough with 1 goal While Ava Warchol had 8 saves.  The girls host Chittenango on Wednesday at the stadium with 1st touch being at 5:30

    9/13/2024  Today is national Kids Take Over The Kitchen Day

     

    Congrats to the JV volleyball team for winning against Weedsport. Leading the team was; Annalise Hogan with serves, Edie Chamberlain with spikes, and Annalise Hogan with assists. Varsity ladies played 4 tough sets. Leading the team were Aubrey Shafer with 17 assists, Adrianna DiManto with 8 kills, and Emillie Stanard with 22 digs.  Wish the ladies luck today as they travel to Bishop Ludden!

     

    Juniors- homecoming is next week.  We are meeting today (Fri) to finalize plans for our float and to do a check in regarding what materials and equipment we need, as well as where and when we are going to be working on the float, next week.  Meet in Mr. Muller’s room (206) on Friday, at 2:15.

     

    Freshmen, The Class of 2028 Homecoming Float Committee is meeting today (Fri), 2:15-45 in room 227. We will be picking the float them at this meeting and start planning the float. We need as many people as possible to help! Please come on by if you´d like to be involved with the Homecoming Float!

     

    Starting Monday September 16 there will be sophomore class meetings in room 102 from 2:15-2:45 to get ready for the parade! All sophomores are welcome to attend!

     

    Battle of the Books is a quiz show style contest held in the spring. Mexico's Tenacious Tigers have successfully placed in the top 3 teams in the region each year.  This year we will be competing in Oswego County in person. We are looking for new members to join our team. If you join, you will receive every title you read to keep in your home library.  If you are interested in joining Battle of the Books, please see Mrs. Lasnicki in the Pierce Library. The books are here, and we are eager to start our new season of reading.

     

    Are you interested in a career in STEM – especially technology or computing? Do you like to tinker and build? Join the competitive Robotics team at 2:15 on Tuesday the 17th in 221 or seek out Mr. Fellows or Mr. McAuslan for our first meeting. Practice begins immediately after and runs Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays from 3 to 5.

     

    The Fall Play this year is The Play That Goes Wrong! Be sure to see the information sheets posted outside the chorus room. We will have a Drama Club Meeting on Wednesday, 9/18 from 2-3 with auditions to follow!

    9/11/2024  Today is national Make Your Bed Day

    JV & Varsity Volleyball team played against Cortland last night.  The JV team won against Cortland. Leading the team was: Revvie Baldwin with serves, leading the team in spikes was Anna Shafer and leading the team in assists was Annalise Hogan.   The Varsity volleyball team played hard and worked together as a team. Leading the team was:  Brynn Mack with 13 points, Hannah Amidon and Aubrey Shafer both with 8 points.  Aubrey lead with 8 assists, Adriana DiManto had 6 points.  Come out Thursday night at 4:30 to support the lady tigers on their home court!

     

    Last night, the Boys Varsity Soccer team lost a nail bitter in double overtime vs Cortland 2-1. Dylan Perlet had several key saves to keep the team in the game. Scoring for the Tigers was Leo Leikfeld. Great effort boys!

     

    Last night the Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Westhill to take on the warriors.  After 110 minutes, the match ended in a 1-1 tie. Scoring for the girls was Allie Poissant and Ava Warchol had 10 saves in goal.

    The girls play Thursday at the stadium versus Skaneateles. 

     

    A Friendly Reminder Class meetings will be held today (Wed. 9/11):  1st Period 12th Grade & 2nd Period 9th Grade

    And tomorrow (Thurs. 9/12) class meetings will be held: 1st Period 11th Grade & 2nd Period 10th Grade

    9/6/2024  Today is national Read a Book Day

     

    Today is the last day for students to pick up their new chrome books in the Pierce Library.  Students may come up during study hall.  If you do not have a study hall you may get permission from your teacher during class and go to get it today!!!!!  Any students who still have a laptop may exchange it today for a chrome book.  Again, TODAY is the LAST DAY to get your chrome book.

     

    Last night the Girls Varsity Soccer team opened the season with a big win against APW, 9-1.  Scoring for the Tigers were: Allie Poissant with 3 goals, Giana Cutuli with 1 goal and 2 assists, Emily Hough with 2 goals, Kylee Urquhart with 1 goal, Lola Teifke with 1 goal, Madison Poissant with 1 goal, Sofia Gil Vera & Haylee Hayes with 1 assist each. The girls will be at Westhill on Tuesday night.
